originally from poland, tomasz opasinski earned his b.a. in computer graphics in print and advertising. since, he has served as a digital artist and creative consultant at multiple prestigious advertising agencies in los angeles and abroad. in the last decade, he has collaborated to design more than 400 stunning theatrical and gaming ad campaigns that have influenced the design industry at large. notably, beyond tomasz’ artistic capabilities, it is his strong conceptual thinking that makes his work very distintive. in the tradition of polish graphic artists of the late 20th century, tomasz often utilizes a single image to capture the essence of a film. combined with his inexhaustible attention to detail, comprehension for lighting and composition, and manipulation of shapes and forms, his unique signature style is undeniable. it is these exceptional talents and skills that continue to garner several industry accolades, including, recognition by the “national association of photoshop professionals at photoshop world conference” (san diego, ca, u.s.a), the “young creatives cannes lions contest” (warszawa, poland), the “golden trailer awards” (new york) and the “the hollywood reporter key art awards” (hollywood) where has served as a participant, finalist and/or jury member. when he is not involved in his craft, tomasz is an active member in the design community as a speaker, mentor and instructor sharing his design philosophy with the next generation of designers. he has also authored professional articles on the topics of theatrical and gaming projects and campaigns for publications such as “3d artist magazine” and “computer arts magazine”. tomasz has a generously progressive attitude that is embraced by his peers. understanding the evolving climate of the industry, tomasz remains with his finger on the design pulse, continuously experimenting with ways to communicate in a variety of mediums. in addition to his commercial design work, tomasz also develops unique non-commercial posters and exquisite fine art pieces. incorporating his 3d skills into highly ornate graffiti-influenced digital compositions, he combines futuristic shapes and forms into a unique blur of experimental art. unbound from commercial design restrictions, his fine art is the “dr. jekyl” to his commercial design’s “mr. hyde”. as tomasz continues applying his visually captivating aesthetic and conceptual thinking skills to his design work and fine art, his legacy as a designer has him on pace to be recognized as nothing short of a well respected prolific influential trendsetter of his generation.
