Tron: 1982 Tron 2.0: 2003 (PC Game. The "original" direct sequel to Tron, no longer cannon due to Legacy) Tron Legacy: 2010 (Direct sequel to Tron) Tron Uprising: 2012 (Prequel TV series to Tron Legacy)
The original film is your average fantasy film with a new coat of paint. "An evil force has taken over the land and a hero must rise up and retake the 'throne" as it where. What made the film special was it's artstyle and Universe- since the only media franchise that does the whole "What if we accidentally created life and it exists with in the electrical currents which pass through a circuit board." is Tron.
The second film is a lot better, same general premise but it's built around a totalitarian state which has secured the "grid" by force (and through a genocidal war) and enters the ethical debate of what is "life" and it even comments on religion.
The TV Show (Tron Uprising) is set during the genocidal conflict and follows a uprising- it's damn adult for an American animated series (mass executions happen and the deaths occur on screen. Also it has a massive ongoing story) and honestly it's my favorite entry into the franchise.
But... Trons story is simple, people watch the films/TV show for the universe and the characters. There's nothing else like it- Give Tron Legacy a watch and if you like it go watch the original. It's the type of film where the art style carries it, yet if you want to look up it's lore you'll be blown away.
